Magic City sits along the western edge of this landscape, positioned where the high desert meets the northern reaches of Magic Reservoir. The area is characterized by a series of expansive basalt flats and sagebrush-covered hills, including Mahoney Flat and Rye Grass Flat. The Big Wood River meanders through the northern section, fed by a network of seasonal drainages and springs such as Crystal Cr and Spring Cr.
