Deepwater Creek and its tributary, East Fork Deepwater Creek, define the drainage of this rural North Dakota landscape, carving subtle paths through the sectional grid. The area is characterized by an orderly network of roads, including 31st St NW and 65th Ave NW, which partition the agricultural terrain. Human presence is marked by scattered infrastructure and points of local significance, such as the Diffley Landing Strip in the northern reach and the Roseglen Cemetery further south. Near the center of the sheet, Lake Susie and the Lake Susie Dam indicate water management within the prairie system. This 2011 survey by the U.S. Geological Survey documents the persistent rural character and land division of the region south of Parshall.
