Malad City and its western rural hinterlands define this high-valley landscape in southeastern Idaho. The Malad River and Little Malad River cut through the terrain, supporting a network of water management features including the Saint Johns Reservoir, Upper Pleasantview Reservoir, and the Billy Snipe Reservoir. These water sources are vital to the small agrarian settlements of Saint Johns, Pleasantview, and Gwenford that dot the valley floor.
