The Sublette Range dominates this portion of Lincoln County, where the high ridges of Muddy Ridge give way to a complex network of canyons and water-management systems. The small settlement of Marse and the nearby natural pinch point known as The Narrows sit along the banks of the Bear River, which winds through the southwestern corner of the map. This area is characterized by a sophisticated irrigation infrastructure essential to the high-desert landscape, featuring the Noblitt Ditch, Emelle Ditch, and the lengthy Stoner Nelson Wheelock Ditch. To the east, the Smiths Fork and its tributaries, such as Salt Cr, flow through the valley bottom. Other notable topographic features include Groo Canyon, Birch Gulch, and numerous forks of Mill Cr, illustrating a terrain defined by both its steep elevation changes and its carefully diverted water sources.
