1994 Map of Mc Kesick Peak

USGS Topo · Published 1998

About this map

McKesick Peak and the surrounding heights of the Plumas National Forest dominate this landscape on the border of Lassen and Plumas counties. The terrain transitions from the steep, canyon-cut slopes of the Diamond Mountains down into the broader Honey Lake Valley to the north and east. This 1990s revision shows the settlement at Doyle and the Meadow View Forest Service Station serving as primary human outposts in an area largely dedicated to conservation and resource management, including the Dixie Mountain State Game Refuge.
