Copper Glacier and Nabesna Glacier dominate this high-altitude landscape in the northern reaches of the Chugach and Wrangell Mountains. The topography is defined by massive glacial systems and the protected boundaries of Wrangell-Saint Elias National Park and the Wrangell-Saint Elias National Preserve. The map illustrates the complex drainage and ice-flow patterns of the region, including Long Glacier and Kluvesna Glacier. This 2017 survey serves as a modern record of glacial extent in one of the most remote sections of the Valdez-Cordova Census Area, where the high peaks and permanent ice fields remain largely untouched by human infrastructure.
