Lolo National Forest encompasses the vast majority of this high-altitude landscape, which is defined by the prominent Reservation Divide crest. This ridge forms a natural boundary between several drainage basins, with waters flowing north via the multiple forks of Revais Cr and south through the McCormick Cr and Kennedy Cr systems. The terrain is marked by significant peaks, including McCormick Peak and Blackrock Peak, which dominate the central skyline.
