The village of McHenry serves as the primary hub of this Foster County landscape, situated along the tracks of the Northern Pacific railroad during the early 1960s. The settlement's layout is clearly defined by a Village Boundary, showing the intersection of rail-side industry and local community life. To the north, the terrain transitions into the area labeled Paradise, characterized by numerous small lakes and wetlands typical of the region's prairie pothole topography. Along the western edge, the Bethlehem Cem provides a significant landmark for genealogists and local historians. In the southern portion of the quadrangle, Baldhill Creek winds through the fields, accompanied by several Gravel Pits that suggest local infrastructure and road-building activity during this era. This survey was conducted as part of the Department of the Interior program for the development of the Missouri River Basin.
