McIntyre Summit rises as a central topographic landmark in this high-desert portion of Nye County, where the terrain transitions sharply into the East Stone Cabin Valley. The landscape is defined by its drainage systems and access routes through the high country, including the seasonal flow of Willow Cr and Hot Cr. The northeastern corner is marked by the steep walls of White Rocks Canyon. Infrastructure is limited to remote access ways such as Natl Forest Develop Road 402 Rd and Natl Forest Develop Road 008 Rd, which follow the contours of the land rather than cutting through it. This survey documents the intersection of several township and range boundaries, illustrating how the Public Land Survey System imposes a grid over the complex, water-carved ridges and valleys of the Nevada interior.
