Genealogical interest is found in the scattered country churches and burial grounds that anchor the rural landscape, including Asbury Cem Ch near Green Hill and Wink Cem to the south. The western edge of McConnellsburg appears at the foot of the ridge, marking the transition from the forested heights of Little Scrub Ridge to the valley floor.
