Medberry occupies the southwestern corner of this LaMoure County landscape, situated on a high-plains plateau defined by a grid of agricultural section lines. The most prominent natural feature is the winding path of Cottonwood Cr, which cuts a distinct valley across the southern half of the quadrangle. This 2014 survey documents the modern layout of rural infrastructure, including 86th Ave SE and 71st St SE, illustrating how the township's transportation network remains tethered to the original public land survey system. The numerous small depressions and seasonal wetlands scattered throughout the northern sections are characteristic of the prairie pothole region, providing a detailed record of the area's hydrology and land-use patterns in the early 21st century.
