Mildred and the surrounding township lands of Powers, Ponto Lake, and Barclay are defined by an intricate network of glacial lakes and wetlands in Cass County. The landscape is dominated by large bodies of water such as Big Portage Lake, Hattie Lake, and Sanborn Lake, many of which feature public landings and specialized access points.
