Minersville Reservoir serves as the central focal point of this arid high-desert landscape where the Mineral Mountains meet the Black Mountains. The engineering of the local water system is evident through the Aberdare Canal and the course of the Beaver River as it passes south of Chalk Hollow. This 2023 survey illustrates the sparse but critical water resources of the region, including The Seeps, Stewart Spring, and Big Maple Spring which sustain life in the surrounding basins and canyons.
