Union Hill Cemetery and the crossroads settlement of Bath anchor the western edge of this East Texas landscape, where the terrain is defined by a dense network of creek branches and small private lakes. The topography is shaped by the drainage systems of East Sandy Creek and Smith Branch, which feed into numerous water bodies including Lost Meadows Lake, Jib Lake, and Lake Paula. A notable engineering feature is the Huntsville State Park Dam on the Prairie Branch, which creates Lake Raven in the northeastern corner.
