1943 Map of Moravia

USGS Topo · Published 1958

About this map

Owasco Inlet carves through the landscape of southern Cayuga County, feeding into the southern tip of Owasco Lake via the broad Owasco Flats. This mid-century survey captures a rural landscape dominated by the Lehigh Valley railroad corridor and the concentrated settlements of Moravia and Locke. The village of Moravia is the industrial and social heart of the quadrangle, situated where Mill Creek descends from the eastern heights past Montville Falls.
