1971 Map of Morven East

About this map

The Pee Dee River carves a deep boundary through this borderland, separating Anson and Richmond counties in North Carolina and continuing south into Chesterfield and Marlboro counties in South Carolina. Along the western tracks of the Seaboard Coast Line Railroad, the settlements of Morven and McFarlan serve as local anchors, connected by rural routes passing Galilee Ch and Ramah Grove Ch. The landscape is a network of water and early industry, evidenced by Brocks Mill on Little Westfield Creek and Everetts Mill near the wide expanse of Everetts Lake.
