The Monitor Range dominates this portion of Toiyabe National Forest in Nye County, Nevada. The high-altitude landscape is defined by the headwaters of numerous drainages, most notably Mosquito Creek, which is fed by the North Fork Mosquito Creek and South Fork Mosquito Creek. This area of central Nevada preserves a wilderness character where access is limited to paths like the Mosquito Creek Trail and the National Forest Development Road 094.
