Teton National Forest and Bridger National Forest meet in this high-altitude landscape of the Gros Ventre Range, where the drainages of the Bacon Creek and S Fork Fish Creek define the mountain geography. The 2017 terrain is characterized by high meadows and prominent divides, including Buffalo Meadow and the sweeping Piñon Ridge. A lone outpost of infrastructure, the Kinky Creek Divide Airport, sits near the southern boundary, providing a remote access point at the intersection of Teton, Fremont, and Sublette counties. The hydrology of the area is centered on Mosquito Lake, with numerous seasonal and perennial streams like Wagon Cr and Red Cr feeding into larger systems. This map captures the region's wilderness character, where forest service roads such as RD 263 and Kinky Creek Rd provide the only terrestrial links through the ridges.
