Mt Leidy dominates the high elevation terrain of the Teton National Forest in this remote section of Teton County. The landscape is defined by an intricate network of drainage systems and high-country lakes, including Toppings Lakes and the waters of Leidy Lake. To the south, the terrain descends toward the Gros Ventre Rd and the northern shores of Lower Slide Lake, where the geological profile transitions into the Red Hills and Lavender Hills.
