Mt Wilson and Wilson Peak dominate this high-altitude landscape along the border of the Uncompahgre National Forest and San Juan National Forest. The geography is defined by a series of dramatic basins and ridges, including the Navajo Basin and Bilk Basin, which feed the headwaters of the Dolores River and Howard Fork. A significant portion of the map is dedicated to the steep slopes surrounding the iconic Lizard Head spire and the alpine waters of Trout Lake.
