Surveyed shortly after the advent of aerial photography, the map reveals a landscape managed for timber and sporting, where the Realty Tote Road and California Road provided the primary corridors into the interior. These routes connected remote outposts like Butlers Camp and the high vantage of a Fire Tower atop Clear Lake Mtn.
