The Green River carves a path through the northern half of this terrain, where the settlement of Nagrom is situated along the river's course near Smay Cr. This landscape is defined by the high peaks of Rooster Comb Mtn and Huckleberry Mtn, positioned within the protected boundaries of the Snoqualmie National Forest. To the south, the settlement of Greenwater sits at the confluence of the White River and the Greenwater River, marking a key junction at the border of King and Pierce counties. The area's drainages, including Rock Cr and Champion Cr, flow from prominent features like Divide Ridge. A dense network of forest development roads, such as Nat For Dev Rd 70, provides the primary access through these steep timberlands, linking isolated spots like Bone Lake and Williams Hole to the river valleys below.
