New Baltimore serves as the focal point for this coastal survey of the northern shoreline of Anchor Bay. The landscape is defined by the transition from rural agricultural plots and the Wards Long Acres Airport in the north to the increasingly developed residential corridors along Marine City Hwy and the coast. The shoreline is punctuated by several prominent points of interest for local historians, including the communities of Anchorville and Fair Haven, where the terrain begins to fragment into the marshy complex of the Saint Clair Flats.
