The Big Blue River defines the western landscape of this Marshall County quadrangle, where the small settlement of Oketo sits on its eastern bank. A network of rural roads, including Cherokee Rd and Bison Rd, connects the town to nearby Marietta and the surrounding farmland. The area is heavily marked by a dense drainage system of prairie creeks, such as N Elm Cr, Bommer Cr, and Mission Cr, which carve through the terrain as they flow toward the primary river valley.
