Lake Superior dominates the northern landscape of this coastal survey, where the township of Ontonagon meets the waterfront. The residential grid of the village is clearly defined by streets such as Walnut St, Houghton St, and Paul Bunyan Ave. Eastward along the shoreline, the landscape transitions into more sparsely developed tracts toward the locality of Four Mile Rock, where Lakeshore Dr and Driftwood Ln follow the natural curve of the coast.
