Relics of local history are evident in the Masonic Cemetery and IOOF Cemetery, located near the winding path of the creek. The transition from the flat Swede Plains to the more dissected drainage basins reveals how the water network dictated the placement of early infrastructure like the Silver Bridge. Farther south, the terrain levels out into the Millville Plains, where Stillwater Creek and Tule Lake mark the lower elevations of the quadrangle.
