2004 Map of Patterson Mountain

USGS Topo · Published 2007

About this map

Patterson Mountain towers over a complex network of hydroelectric infrastructure and high-country meadows within the Sierra National Forest. The landscape is defined by the steep descent of the North Fork Kings River as it passes through Balch Camp, where the Balch Powerplant and associated substation mark a significant point of industrial activity in the wilderness. Further upstream, the Black Rock Reservoir is supported by a series of technical features, including an Intake Tower, a Surge Tank, and the Haas Powerhouse.
