Pavo and Barwick anchor this agricultural corridor along the border of Thomas and Brooks Counties in south Georgia. The landscape is defined by a dense network of country roads and small family settlements, with land use primarily structured around the drainages of Mule Creek and Reedy Creek. Significant local history is preserved in the numerous rural burial grounds scattered across the area, including Lebanon Cem, Shady Grove Cem, and Caulden Cem.
