Peck Mesa rises as a prominent landmark in this arid portion of Moffat County, situated between two major western Colorado watercourses. The Little Snake River meanders through the northwest, while the Yampa River flows across the southern portion of the sheet. The landscape is defined by a series of drainage systems, including the Sand Wash and Three C Wash, which carry seasonal runoff toward the rivers.
