Vermilion Cliffs and Seaman Point dominate the northern skyline of this desert landscape where the high plateaus of southern Utah meet the Arizona border. The terrain is defined by a network of drainage systems including Seaman Wash, Petrified Hollow Wash, and White Sage Wash, which carve through the arid flats toward the south. Near the state line, the topography rises into the northern reaches of the Kaibab Plateau and the slopes of Buckskin Mountain.
