Antelope Hills and the surrounding high plains of the Red Desert region define this landscape along the border of Sweetwater and Fremont counties. The drainage network is dominated by the seasonal forks of Sulphur Creek, including N Fork Sulphur Cr and S Fork Sulphur Cr, which carve through the high-elevation terrain. Isolated water sources like Saint Marys Spring near Saint Marys Peak and Horse Track Spring suggest the critical importance of these points for livestock and wildlife in a semi-arid environment.
