The city of Pierz and its neighboring villages of Genola and Buckman form the primary settlements across this central Minnesota landscape in 2019. The terrain is defined by a dense network of waterways including the Skunk River and numerous tributaries such as Hillman Cr, Mischke Cr, and Buckman Cr. These streams navigate a complex of wetlands and small lakes, most notably Granite Lake in the north and Coon Lake near the southern border.
