St. Joe National Forest dominates this section of the Idaho backcountry, where the northern Panhandle terrain meets the Shoshone and Clearwater County line. The landscape is defined by a dense network of watercourses, including the Little North Fork Clearwater River and its numerous tributaries such as Breakfast Creek, Floodwood Creek, and West Fork Floodwood Creek. At the southern edge of the map, the settlement of Boehls serves as a small human footprint in an otherwise vast wilderness of ridges and saddles.
