Pitchfork Ranch Cem rests in the northern reaches of this Park County landscape, a quiet testament to the ranching heritage that defined the drainage of the Greybull River. This high-altitude terrain is shaped by a complex network of water management, including the Pitchfork Ditch and the Sunshine Supply Ditch, which redirect snowmelt from the high peaks to the lower grazing lands of Sunshine Flat.

The southern half of the map rises into the protected boundaries of the Shoshone National Forest, where steep timbered drainages like E Timber Cr and W Timber Cr converge.
