1999 Map of Pohopoco Mountain

USGS Topo · Published 2002

About this map

Penn Forest Reservoir and Wild Creek Reservoir dominate this landscape on the boundary of Carbon and Monroe Counties. At the turn of the millennium, this area preserved a significant amount of public land, including the northern reaches of Beltzville State Park and a portion of Hickory Run State Park. The topography is defined by the massive ridge of Pohopoco Mountain, where drainage patterns like Stony Ridge and Pohopoco Run flow toward the valley floor.
