1918 Map of Point Reyes

USGS Topo · Published 1938

About this map

The rugged shoreline of Tomales Bay and the vast peninsula of Punta de los Reyes are the central focus of this 1915-1916 survey. The maritime economy of the Marin coast is evident through the placement of the Coast Guard Station near Chimney Rock and numerous coastal landings like Lairds Landing and Blakes Landing. Inland, the Northwestern Pacific RR follows the eastern shore of the bay, connecting small stations such as Hamlet, Marconi, and Point Reyes Station, which served as vital links for the local ranching and dairy operations.
