Pondville serves as the central settlement hub in this portion of Bibb County, situated near the headwaters of Blue Girth Cr and the small impoundment of Lake Ponderosa. Much of the northern and eastern terrain is defined by the managed lands of the Talladega National Forest, where the landscape is carved by a network of drainages including Lick Br, Miller Br, and Yeager Br.
