Palo Duro Canyon dominates this 2016 study of the Texas Panhandle, where the deep incisions of the Prairie Dog Town Fork Red River carve through the caprock. The drainage network is particularly dense here, featuring numerous seasonal watercourses and draws including McFarland Cr, Rush Cr, and Antibust Cr. The upland area of Pony Flats provides a stark contrast to the dramatic relief of Bull Canyon and Horseshoe Canyon to the east.
