Lake Poygan defines the southeastern corner of this landscape, where the shoreline meets the village of Tustin at the edge of the Winnebago County line. The terrain is characterized by extensive wetlands and a network of slow-moving waterways, including Alder Cr, Mosquito Cr, and the Pine River which winds through the settlement of Poy Sippi in the southwest. This area serves as a significant hydraulic junction where several smaller creeks, such as Hatton Cr, drain through low-lying marshes toward the lake.
