Green Ridge dominates the western portion of this landscape within the Deschutes National Forest, where high elevations descend toward the Metolius River. This 2014 survey documents a complex network of forest development roads, such as the SW Green Ridge Rd and SW Squawback Ridge Rd, which provide access to remote water sources and drainage systems. Natural hydrology is central to this area, anchored by Prairie Farm Spring and Six Creek Spring. These springs feed a series of eastward-flowing waterways including Prairie Farm Cr and Six Cr, eventually contributing to the Meadow Cr and Fly Cr basins. At the river's edge, Bridge 99 serves as a critical crossing point, linking the riparian corridor to the ridgeline road systems used for forest management and recreation.
