Ranger serves as the focal point of this Eastland County landscape, where the residential grid is defined by streets like Wayland Rd and Riddle Ave. The town’s history is preserved at Pioneer Cem near the center of the settlement, while the surrounding rural landscape is dotted with several other family and community burial grounds, including Evergreen Cem to the north and Colony Cem to the west. This 2019 survey captures the modern transportation network, from the Ranger Municipal Airport to the corridors of E Loop 254 and FM 101. To the south, the terrain descends toward the Leon River, fed by tributaries like Jim Neal Br and Lick Br.
