Cache National Forest encompasses this high-elevation landscape on the border of Cache and Rich counties, where the Monte Cristo Range and Red Spur Mtn define the drainage patterns of the northern Wasatch. The area is a complex network of seasonal water sources and livestock or wildlife infrastructure, including Wes Reservoir, Deer Lick Reservoir, and the Basin Beaver Ponds.
