Steamboat Mtn and the northern reaches of the House Range dominate this corner of Millard County, where geological features reveal a landscape shaped by volcanic and erosional forces. The presence of Lava Dam near the center of the sheet highlights the area's volcanic history, while drainage patterns are defined by the Red Wash and Steamboat Wash. Human infrastructure is sparse, limited primarily to the unpaved corridor of Tule Valley Rd and Steamboat Pass Rd, which provide access through the desert terrain. Water management is evident at the Steamboat Pass Reservoir and the isolated Johnson Pond to the east. The terrain transitions from the elevations of Red Tops and the Black Hills down through Red Canyon, illustrating the varied topography of the Great Basin during this 2020 survey.
