The House Range and the Black Hills converge in this high-desert landscape of Millard County, recorded during a 1991 provisional update of 1950s aerial photography. The topography is defined by significant drainage systems and vertical landmarks, most notably Steamboat Mountain and the nearby Steamboat Pass. To the west, the land drops into the Tule Valley (Depression), a stark contrast to the elevated terrain of the eastern ridges.
