South of the reservoir, the land transitions into an intricate network of irrigation including the Culbertson Extension Canal and Culbertson Canal, which utilize a series of siphons to navigate the terrain. Local history is anchored by the Zion Hill Cem and School No 41, while the eastern edge is marked by the steep descents of Elder Box Canyon. Industrial activity is noted in the northeast corner at the Oil Field, featuring an Oil Well near the Frontier and Red Willow county line.
