The Reese River flows through this high-altitude basin where the boundaries of Lander and Nye Counties meet. This 2015 survey illustrates a landscape of deep canyons and drainages, including the prominent Reese River Butte and the sharp relief of Devils Gate Canyon. Much of the eastern portion of the map is dominated by the Toiyabe National Forest, where steep terrain funnels into seasonal watercourses like Washington Cr and San Pedro Cr.
