The Saint Francois Mountains dominate this 2017 survey, where the Saint Francis River and the Little Saint Francis River converge. This portion of the Mark Twain National Forest is characterized by its high concentration of named peaks and hollows, including Rhodes Mountain, Pease Mtn, and Tin Mine Mtn. Local history is preserved in a network of family and community cemeteries such as Wilson Cem, Clubb Cem, and Ashlock Cem, which are scattered among the ridges and valleys.
