About this map

The city of Rolla occupies the northwest corner of this Rolette County landscape, serving as a hub of local transport and commerce. A dense grid of streets, including Main Ave E and Front St Ne, reveals the town's orderly development, while Airport Rd extends north toward local facilities. Beyond the city limits, the terrain transitions into a vast section-line grid typical of the Great Plains, where agricultural roads like 99th St Ne and 52nd Ave Ne divide the prairie. Genealogy researchers will find interest in Saint Michael Cemetery on the edge of town and Emanuel Cemetery located further south. Water is sparse in this high-plains environment, represented primarily by the irregular shores of McLaughlin Lake in the northeast and small seasonal wetlands scattered across the quadrangle.
