Fish Springs Flat dominates this portion of the West Desert, providing a clear view of the arid basin floor as it was surveyed in 2020. This landscape is defined by its drainage patterns and historical travel corridors, notably the expansive Fish Springs Wash which carries seasonal runoff through the northern sections of the map. In the southeast, Swasey Knolls Wash cuts through the terrain near a cluster of rising elevations, while the contemporary road network, including the remote Sand Pass Rd and Weis Hwy, follows the natural contours of the valley floor. These routes trace the long-established paths through Juab County, connecting the isolated flats to the surrounding mountain ranges and springs.
