Christi Ranch and its accompanying Christi Airstrip anchor the western interior of Santa Cruz Island in this 2012 survey. The topography is dominated by the steep ascent toward Devils Peak, dropping sharply into the Central Valley to the south and toward the complex northern coastline. This maritime boundary is marked by a series of protected coves and rugged landforms, including Ladys Harbor, Diablo Anchorage, and Frys Harbor. Landmarks such as Arch Rock, Profile Point, and Diablo Point define the interface between the island and the Santa Barbara Channel, illustrating the geological isolation and remote character of the Northern Channel Islands landscape within the Pacific Ocean.
